Get the matches toss the ashes off the ledge
点燃火柴，释放过去，走出过往，重新生活（注释2）
因为这句话是通过一些象征性的动作来表达含义，我改变了之前相对直译的方法，而是用四个四字词语表达出来从字面引申出来的含义，值得注意的是：toss the ashes中的ashes让人联想起you're On Your Own, Kid（你要靠你自己了，孩子）中的歌词：

注释3:the starting line，在之前翻译的黑狗（点击查看全文翻译）中，有这样一句歌词：

When someone plays 'The Starting Line' and you jump up

台上有人唱起“起跑线”这首歌，你兴奋地跃入舞池中

黑狗中的the starting line是首字母大写，结合上下文，这是一首歌名，而在这重获新生这首歌里面，则换成了小写字母，取的含义也是词语本身的意思。

注释4:imaginary rings（想象中的戒指）：这里可以联想到lover中的paper ring这首歌，I like shiny things but I'd marry you with paper rings （尽管我爱闪闪发光的东西，可是哪怕只用纸戒指，我也愿意嫁给你），对比之下不禁让人倍感唏嘘，这首歌我还没有翻译，会在未来补上。

最后：这首歌是我迄今为止翻译 the Tortured Poets Department 里面最难翻译的一首歌，因为很多词语都只是一种具体的意向，其表达的是背后代表的含义，再加上很多句里只是简单的把名字连接，需要用中文讲背后的含义转达出来，同时要保证译文的通畅和合理，还有很多词语涉及到英语的一些俚语和文学知识，因此我也去查证了很多资料。

同样，这首歌的歌词也有非常多的细节，仔细研究可以发现很多隐藏情节，通过翻译，我仿佛直接同泰勒进行了一场深度对话，了解了她内心的一部分，不仅对我来说是一种审美的冲击，也把泰勒的思想连同自己的理解传递给更多人。
